The Legend of Cran Forcé:
This model features the prestigious Cran Forcé mechanism (also known in the US as a Notched Slipjoint). Invented in the 1820s by the legendary Pierre-Jean Calmels—the father of the Laguiole knife—this system is a masterpiece of safety. Unlike standard slipjoints, the Cran Forcé eliminates the “guillotine effect.” The powerful spring and notched tang provide a secure, “half-lockback” feel, making it virtually impossible for the blade to close accidentally on your fingers.
100% Bench-Made – No CNC:
Every detail of this Genoese-style folder is hand-shaped and hand-fitted. From the selective hardening of the German spring to the custom-engraved bolsters, this is a labor of love and traditional craftsmanship.
